Posting this invitation for a great affinity library organization - Que(e)ry.

Que(e)ry Librarians is organizing a contingent to march in the Queer Liberation March in NYC, organized by the Reclaim Pride Coalition, on the morning of Sunday, June 30. (Note: this is NOT the same as the NYC Pride Parade taking place later the same day.)
Honoring the legacy of the Stonewall Rebellion 50 years ago, the march will follow the steps of the original 1970 Christopher Street Liberation Day march, heading up 6th Avenue and ending in a rally in Central Park.
Any library or archives staff, library school students and faculty, their friends and family, and anyone else interested are all invited to join the contingent. No registration necessary, but it would help us look out for you if you let me know (, or RSVP on Facebook.
Look for the rainbow flag reading "Que(e)ry" as we line up beginning 8:30am on 7th Ave., before the parade steps off at 9:30am from Sheridan Square, but there will be later opportunities to join the march and rally. We encourage you to bring your own signs/banners (without posts), snacks, water (non-glass containers only), and sunscreen!
