    Rita Ormsby, Member SLA Hall of Fame in addition to many years of active membership. Rita has recently retired as Associate Professor-Information Science and  we will hear about her new career and plans as a retired person. 

    Vida CohenHospitality Chair, will communicate thoughts, suggestions & ideas derived from a conversation with Angela Dzikowski of ProLibra.

    Financially Savvy Librarian (Virtual, collaboration with SLA Encore)

    Join a panel of information professionals from different parts of the US, in different stages of their careers, from retired to student librarians.  They will discuss the issues and milestones they have to contend with at this stage of their career and how they have plan for them financially.  They will share some elements of what worked and what has not.

    SLA NY Diversity Committee Chair Lisa Lopez will moderate a robust panel including Leigh HallingbyPhil VandermeerPhillip CunninghamAlvina Lai, and Marian Ekweogwu.

    The panel discussion will be followed by invited speaker Penny Wang.  Penny will discuss with Encore member Rebecca Vargha her suggestions and ideas on how information professionals might think out their financial planning throughout the stages of their career.
