A Walk to Remember Dana Gordon

When:  Sep 4, 2021 from 10:00 to 12:00 (ET)
Join fellow SLA community members on a walk to remember the late Dana Gordon, who was very active in the New York chapter and News Division before dying of cancer in 2012. We will meet on Saturday, Sept. 4, at 10 a.m, at the fountain in Lincoln Center before a walk in Central Park. Steve Dzik, Dana's husband will join us for the walk.

In the past, for several years we gathered in Brooklyn to remember Dana and others during the T.E.A.L. walk to bring awareness and support for those who have or have survived ovarian cancer. While the national walk, run (and bike ride) is virtual again this year and may be done anytime during September, we have decided to make an actual walk on our own.

For details about the official walk, please see National T.E.A.L.® Walk/Run/Ride for Ovarian Cancer.

Please contact Rita Ormsby, rjormsby@verizon.net, or register here if you plan to walk on Sept. 4. We will wear masks and keep a social distance. Along with remembering Dana we will remember others who have been lost to cancer.

Please let Rita know if you have any questions.
