    • The Biomedical researcher conducts secondary research and analysis utilizing specialized databases to answer complex inquiries including creating customized bibliographies and organizing clinical data from published research into reports, graphics, tables and other customized deliverables.
    • Performs systematic literature searches to support regulatory requirements across all Abbott's businesses.
    • Supports project-based research, including searches related to competitive intelligence.

    Biotech Data Curator –  Cambridge, MA, US

    "Flagship Pioneering, Inc. (Cambridge, MA) is hiring a "Data Curator" who will perform systems librarian type functions at Inzen Therapeutics. The candidate can and probably should be on the junior side. They don't need to have any experience with biology (although a little might be nice) or programming.
     
    Salary range is between $75k-$90k.
     
    Our research is driven by ever-growing data sets that are gathered from a variety of internal efforts and external providers. You will be working in close collaboration with our bench scientists to categorize samples, experiments and data using systematic nomenclature as well as ensuring the data is properly input into our growing database. You will also collaborate closely with the Data Science team to build out tools for proper data analysis of new formats. You will also be contributing to putting together new data visuals for publications and presentations.

    Associate Director for Research – New York, NY US
    Weill Cornell Medicine

    We are looking for a leader with experience in research, and skills in Python-based data science and web development, to manage the Weill Cornell Medicine (WCM) Library research services, and guide their continued development in line with the needs of the research community. The individual will work as part of the library senior management team, setting priorities and strategically planning the direction of the library.


    Online Content Specialist –  Bethesda, MD, US

    Computercraft is seeking an Online Content Specialist to join the Bookshelf Production Team at the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) and will be responsible for liaising with publishers, funders and funded investigators and contractors, data providers, editorial / authoring teams, Bookshelf users, and the National Library of Medicine (NLM) staff. General duties will include evaluating submissions, including troubleshooting errors in their processing, providing customer service to Bookshelf content providers, handling Help Desk queries, and providing input on and QA of Bookshelf production workflows and software applications.

    As a member of the outreach librarians' team you will share responsibility for:

    University of South Dakota
    • Engage with a diverse community of faculty and students in assigned departments, including graduate and professional programs in the health sciences, natural sciences, and biomedical sciences.
    • Develop and teach classes and workshops integrating evidence-based practice, information literacy, responsible conduct of research and new technologies into the learning environment.
    • Provide general reference and information literacy instruction.
    • Salary information: $55,000 - 65,000

    Brown University
    • Two (2) years experience in an academic or medical library. Will consider recent library school graduates with appropriate experience and education.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of information resources in the health and biomedical sciences.
    • Preferred: Familiarity with principles of evidence-based medicine and critical appraisal.
