RStudio is a very popular way to create R scripts that interact with the R software. Using R, analysts can create code that combines statistical approaches from many scientific disciplines to best suit the analytical framework you need to analyze your data. This hands-on workshop is designed to teach non-programmers to write modular code and to introduce best practices for using R for data analysis. The workshop is divided into three topic areas: (1) Introduction to R and RStudio, (2) Introduction to Data Wrangling in R, and (3) Data Visualization in R. These skills will help propel research and your career forward.

Approximately two-thirds of this market will be in legal recreational use and the other third will be medical. Law firms are increasingly starting Cannabis practices to weed through regulatory, compliance, intellectual property, contract, and litigation issues ethically and competently. Learn about cannabis horticulture, cannabis as a business and medical use of cannabis, from the founder of the Cleveland School of Cannabis. Review the history of marijuana laws in California especially regarding dispensaries. You'll hear practices for keeping up new laws and regulations particularly in local jurisdictions.
The PHT and DBIO groups are instituting a joint division reception to allow the two groups to have a dedicated networking and collaboration opportunity while on-site for the 2019 SLA Annual Conference. A merger between the divisions is under discussion and this reception is an ideal opportunity for the leaders and members of each division to come together and assess interest. The event will be ticketed and advance registration required.
