  • 1.  Acronyms - building an enterprise wide solution

    Posted 03-09-2023 12:49

As Sageans, we live by our acronyms!

However, new hires are often perplexed by what all these acronyms mean and not everyone comes from the pharma industry.

To help new hires feel more comfortable, we are compiling an acronym list and collaborating with other departments.  We will be collecting acronyms used in functions, categorizing them, and making them more broadly available to the organization, so each function isn't creating their own in the future.  It'll be a great start to building an enterprise-wide solution.

Has anyone ever taken on such a project and do you have any tips for us or lessons learned?

    Thanks so much!

We have a collaborative document like this on our Library's SharePoint site.  We run it as a crowd sourced document.

Tip: Turn on version controls so you can get it back if users accidentally delete it. This has happened to us a few times
