I was chatting with one of my large vendor partners and he inquired if I knew which "pharma librarians" were planning to attend the MLA/SLA conference in Detroit next month. I replied that I had no idea, and reminded him that since his company was exhibiting, they would be provided an attendee list for outreach. He mentioned that is not happening this year, as SLA changed their policy and would not be providing exhibitors with attendee lists. So unfortunately, they are left with reaching out to contacts manually to see who is going or not. I'm wondering what was the logic behind this policy change......
