We're still seeking ideas for DSSH programming at next year's SLA Annual Conference in Charlotte. If you have ideas for topics or potential speakers, please reply to this thread or send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Proposals will be accepted through October 1st.Some current ideas for sessions include:
Creating shared taxonomies
Project management for choosing library tools/vendors
Intro to data visualization
Using GIS and historical maps to create cross-curriculum learning
All ideas are welcome - so don't be shy! Sessions can be anywhere from 5-minute lightning talks or 20-minute quick takes to full 90-minute panel discussions. SLA is particularly interested in sessions that meet the needs of professionals at different career stages (fundamental, intermediate, advanced); that align with the core competencies; and that highlight diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Guidelines and reference documents for session proposals are available at the submission site: sla-events.fluidreview.com/.
