I'm looking for any technical literature that examines issues related to gathering good data from maintenance and inspections of industrial equipment (like compressors), infrastructure (like pipe) where we are relying on humans to record their observations.
Much of this data will rely on human beings to record their observations and this is usually handled through some sort of work management process and entered into a work order system (i.e. (Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System, Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) System), SAP or Maximo.
It should also be noted that other search terms could involve the names of these types of systems like SAP or Maximo probably being the most likely hits
I'm also looking for how this information is recorded (i.e. PICK lists, taxonomies or other) and the types of terms used to record failures, problems or damage (what went wrong), cause, remedies or actions taken.
I'd appreciate any and all suggestions on sources to check or recommendations.
