Aimee Reel, ProQuest, and Marisa Hughes, American Psychological Association, will discuss the nuts and bolts of day-to-day management of their respective thesauri, focusing on the forces that impact change and the tools, processes, and procedures they employ on a daily basis. They will provide examples from recent updates, and will also explore future refinements to the daily management process.

About our presenters

Aimee Reel is a Lead Content Editor, Taxonomy, at ProQuest LLC. A graduate of Indiana University-Bloomington, she has worked at ProQuest for over 19 years, the past 9 of which have been spent on the daily care and feeding of the ProQuest Subject Thesaurus.

Marisa Hughes is Taxonomist in the Office of Publications & Databases at the American Psychological Association, Washington, DC. She began her career at APA as an indexer in 1987 and has worked as a Senior Information Analyst, Technical Information Specialist, and Consultant. She holds a Master of Arts in Psychology from George Mason University.
