2021 Webinar Series

Upcoming: Career Path Panel Discussion

Date and registration forthcoming

Academic librarians, reference librarians, medical librarians, school librarians, liaisons, catalogers, metadata and many, many more; with so many choices for library and information science students, how do you plan your library career? Talk to librarians and you’ll find that most have taken a unique career path that wasn’t necessarily planned at all and wasn’t the straight line often portrayed by job and career websites, which emphasize planning your career and choosing a profession.

Join us as we hear from a diverse panel of librarians as they talk about their career paths – the unexpected turns encountered, the opportunities to explore new paths seized and how they have played to their strengths and experiences along the way.
