Hi all,
The SLA East Coast Community gang are excited to share the following 2023 Conference events.
MLA/SLA Conference | East Coast Meetup
Come hang out and chat with SLA East Coast Communities at The Brakeman on Wednesday, May 17 from 7pm-9pm. Meet us at the entrance of the conference's official Welcome Reception & Opening of the Hall of Exhibits (Huntington Place, Hall of Exhibits E) or meet us at The Brakeman (22 John R Street, Detroit). All are welcome!
SLA-NY Main Street Table
Visit SLA-NY's table in the Hall of Exhibits at Huntington Place. Stop by to meet our amazing leaders Jo Polanco, 2023 SLA-NY President, and Lisa Lopez, 2024 President-Elect. Jo and Lisa will fill you in on our community's initiatives for the next few years and upcoming events. The table will be open on Thursday 5/18 from 11am-1pm and Friday 5/19 from 9am-11am. Jo, Lisa, and myself would love to talk to Upstate members on ways we can partner and make our NY communities stronger.
SLA New England Virtual Conference Chat Break
Will you be attending the conference virtually and caught a great on-demand session at MLA/SLA 2023? Do you want to talk about some of the synchronous streamed programming? SLA New England is hosting 30-minute chats! There will be one happening on each day of the virtual conference, registration information below:
Questions? Contact Kayleigh Bohémier - kayleigh.bohemier@yale.edu. Thanks to Kayleigh and SLA New England for opening the sessions to other SLA communities.
SLA-NY Librarian Roundtable | MLA/SLA Conference Recap
SLA-NY will be hosting a Librarian Roundtable on May 24 at 6:30pm ET. I'll provide a recap and lead a discussion on the 2023 MLA/SLA Conference. If you attend the conference, please come with top takeaways or virtual session recommendations to share. Register here.
See you in Detroit and online!
