Presentation to SLA SoCal: Understanding Workers' Creation, Description, and Storage Conventions

Presented at SLA SoCal 2019 Professional Development Day.
Case Study: Understanding Knowledge Workers' Creation, Description, and Storage (CDS) Conventions In general, very little is known about how knowledge workers perform their jobs. This dearth of research complicates attempts by enterprise information architects to solve longstanding content findability issues. This presentation describes the results of a study into the document creation, description, and storage (CDS) conventions that knowledge workers use to perform their daily work. This information can serve as inspiration for librarians when developing custom solutions to enterprise content findability and data siloization issues.
